The Candida Saliva Test – Simple and Accurate

So do you have Candida or don’t you? I understand your frustration – part of why we are so uneducated when it comes to understanding this condition is because the diagnostic tests are not 100% accurate. I suppose we could put ourselves under a microscope, but if that’s not convenient for you, you can apply the Candida Saliva Test. Other common tests include stool tests, blood tests, and live blood cell tests, but again, if you’re looking for a fast and effective method, apply the Saliva test.

Candida Saliva Test

1. As soon as you wake up in the morning, before you put anything in your mouth, fill a clean and clear glass of water that is completely transparent – do not use tap water

2. Collect a decent amount of saliva in your mouth and spit it into the glass

3. Observe the saliva in the glass for the next 15 minutes

What You Don’t Want to See

If you observe any of the following reactions, then this may indicate a presence of yeast colonies

  • Your saliva stays at the top and you see thin strands that resemble strings or spider legs extending downward
  • Saliva floats to the bottom
  • Water turns very cloudy
  • Saliva is suspended in mid-air and resembles little specs floating

What You Want to See

If you don’t have Candida or yeast infections, your saliva should stay at the top of the glass and will eventually dissipate after 30 minutes.

Although this is a simple and economical test to determine if you have a yeast problem, occasionally some will test negative. Use this as a guideline to understand where you stand with Candida, but remember – Don’t panic!  I hope this article has brought you closer to understanding the Candida condition and keep your head up!

How Do I Do a Candida Spit Test?

If you have any thoughts that you may have an issue with a yeast Infection of Candida Albicans, doing the easy Candida Spit Test that might give you a better indication…

It is not fully clear how the test came about, however it has been in existence for some time now. I recommend you use it as an indicator only as it is only meant to provide an indication, and should not be relied upon as your only form of diagnosis.

This is how you go about doing a Candida Spit Test:

Get a see through glass, top it up with water and put it near your bed or in the bath room so that you remember to do the test the very first thing you do in the morning. As you get up, you may need to wait for some saliva to build in your mouth. Once this has happened spit it into your glass.

This must be done 1st thing. If you brush your teeth, eat or drink, the results will be no good. Do not even sneak a quick good morning Kiss in first… I am certain they can wait for a minute or 2.

Immediately make note of how the saliva looks.

Check again 2 or 3 minutes later. After you have caught up on that Kiss…

Try and observe your Candida spit test again in 15 min intervals. If possible your Candida spit test should be carried out over an hour. It should not be done for less than 30 minutes. Healthy saliva will be clear, it will float on top and it will slowly dissolve into the water without any cloudiness and without sinking.

- There are normally some bubbles or foam present.
- These are the things you will see that may indicate a yeast infection.
- A stringiness that goes towards the bottom.
- Cloudy saliva that sinks to the bottom of the glass.
- Cloudy specks suspended in the water.

If you see any or all of these signs and that they develop quite quickly, these are an indication that you have a problem with a yeast infection.

On the assumption that your Candida Spit test indicated that you are likely to have some sort of yeast or Candida overgrowth. The best place to begin is to review the foods that you consume. Candida Test – What Can I Learn From The Candida Spit Test

As with most physical ailments, medical diagnosis’ for Candida are not always 100% accurate. Similar symptoms can often be due to different diseases and disorders. I strongly advise you to take the solid advice given to you by your doctor and combine it with the following simple test for candida.

Upon arising in the morning, find a clean, clear drinking glass. Fill it with either mineral water or reverse osmosis water. You do not want the chemicals found in tap water to interfere with the candida spit test. If the test for candida is to offer a clearer picture of what is going on in your body, it is vital to do it first thing in the morning. Do not eat or drink anything before the test. Not even water.

While you’re busy getting your glass of water, begin working up a mouthful of saliva. Spit into the glass and set it aside for about an hour. A mild case of Candida will produce leg-like strings which travel down into the water. In the event that you have a more serious case of systemic Candida yeast infection, the saliva will sink to the bottom of the glass.

This Candida spit test is an easy and inexpensive way to check the severity of your condition. Although it will help to determine if you have candida overgrowth within your intestinal tract, and if that overgrowth has transformed into the more pathogenic form, there are other steps you must take to ensure accurate results.

This is why I advise combining it with medical testing, as well as a questionnaire of your symptoms. Since the entire questionnaire is quite lengthy, I will provide the most pertinent questions in my next article.

When filling out the questionnaire, you will likely find a certain amount of symptoms you are familiar with. The number and severity level of the questions you answer yes to, will help to determine the state of your Candida overgrowth.

That said, the knowledge you will gain from the Candida spit test is definitely worth the small amount of time it will take.
